Product Info: 50 page print book(let), black ink.
About: In January of 2018, Heirloom began with a call for works on the theme of cultural wounding and healing…. “Where are the broken cracks in your sense of cultural identity? Where are the places you feel loss, grief, wounding, confusion and rage? Where does it hurt?”
Actually before that, it began with an existential crisis on my (Mollie’s) part and endless conversations with my friend Raha Behnam on the theme of cultural wounding and an imagining of what healing could be. This zine really grew out of that soulful, weird time. We held an Indiegogo campaign to raise money to fund the initial printing of the zine and to pay each contributor $50 a piece as an offering of gratitude for their work and to explore ways to change the culture around writers and artists getting paid - even for small, independent projects. With much gratitude to our communities, we were able to raise the funds and bring this dream to fruition.
